The John Logie Baird Award 2008
The John Logie Baird Awards for innovation are designed to recognise and celebrate innovation by encouraging the commercial exploitation of Scotland's intellectual capital.

The opportunity to compete for these national awards is unique. It offers a comprehensive and integrated package of support to all applicants at every stage of the selection process rather than simply rewarding the winners.
Awards packages valued at approximately £20,000 are presented annually consisting of a cash prize as well as a bespoke innovation development package.
The Rushlight Awards
The inaugural Rushlight Awards were attended by investors, city advisers, trade associations, government departments, companies and organisations which are leading the way in ‘clean technology’.
The Rushlight Awards are a celebration and promotion of the leading organisations throughout the UK and Ireland which have furthered environmental technology and innovation in the fields of renewable energy, clean fuels, power generation, water, waste and pollution management. The event has created a community whose main purpose is to assist in the development of cleantech and in the improvement of environmental standards. This community is made up of the headline partners and sponsors, namely the Institute of Physics, Welsh Power, Kilburn & Strode, Black & Veatch, Cleantech Magazine and Clarity Authoring, over 60 supporting partners, 22 media partners, judges and special guests who together form a resource and a platform of unsurpassed cleantech expertise.
